Hey It’s Julie Jabs and thanks so much for stopping by!
Let’s talk about the most common misconceptions when it comes to CBD shall we.
So many people think CBD is one and the same with “weed” or “pot”. I can understand that, however it’s absolutely not the truth.
1. CBD is the same as “weed” – Think about it like this – marijuana and hemp are like cousins, they both come from the sativa plant. Two completely different plants nonetheless. Marijuana is high in the cannabinoid called Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is what causes the psychoactive effect (high), and low in the cannabinoid called cannabidiol (CBD). While the hemp plant is much higher in CBD content and lower in THC, making it a much better option for extracting CBD.
2. CBD is not legal – In 2018 the Farm Bill was passed making CBD 100% federally legal in all 50 states. Including full spectrum which contains trace amounts of THC (.03%). That small amount of THC is NOT enough to get you “high”
3. You don’t want to get a product with THC in it – There’s certain situations where that is true but not an overall rule or guidance I give anyone. THC is very necessary for most people. A full spectrum has that .03% THC we talked about, it will NOT get you high but it’s important because all the components of the plant work together to create the “Entourage Effect” they call it. There is obviously the concern for people who have drug testing, they are going to want to go with a broad spectrum or isolate so there’s no chance of it showing up on a test. However for most people that are having trouble sleeping, anxiety, pains, etc they will want to start with a full spectrum.
I hope this was helpful and you got some value. Feel free to comment with any questions and thanks again for checking out my page. Make sure you hit the subscribe button to stay in the loop.
